THIS giant company lays off employees for cost-cutting; will it affect their films?

A mega Indian company which has investments in the corporate sector, as well as the Entertainment industry has now made a big move. While the company is known for its profitability, it seems to be making news for the wrong reasons this time around. According to reports, this company has laid off a large number (approximately 5,000), employees that include contractual and permanent workers. The reason behind the lay-off is said to be the company’s cost-cutting.

This may be a major setback for the employees working for the company for years. Now the question is that while this mega-company has made this move in the corporate sector, will it also affect their entertainment sector? The company owns a production studio and will the films under their banner be affected is a big concern for the rest of the industry.
