Vivek Anand Oberoi has completed the first schedule of his ambitious film PM Narendra Modi. Being directed by Omung Kumar, the film’s first schedule had commenced on January 28 and saw the cast and crew shoot in different parts of Gujarat. The team started shooting from January 28 in Ahmedabad and wrapped up the schedule on February 8 in Kutch-Bhuj. The film’s second schedule will soon start in Ahmedabad. Given the subject, the larger-than-life biopic is already being touted as one of the most-anticipated films of the year.

Vivek plays the role of Modi in the film that also stars Boman Irani and Darshan Kumar. The filmmaker has admitted to being told often that the film is a huge risk, perhaps because of the political implications. However, Omung is said to be confident as a director. He also seems to have full faith in his actor. “Omung believes that Vivek is perfect for the role as he has great versatility. He also gives his role his 100 per cent which is a great plus for any film,” says a source. Vivek too is said to be rather excited at playing such an important role.

The first look and the poster of PM Narendra Modi was unveiled in January early this year and immediately went on to become a rage on the internet. The biopic will traverse the journey of Narendra Damodardas Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as Chief Minister and then to his landmark win in the 2014 election and finally being nominated as the Prime Minister of India. Produced by Sandip Ssingh and Suresh Oberoi, the film is being made in 23 languages. Meanwhile, Vivek who was last seen in Bank Chor (2017) has been actively juggling his projects here with his big screen outings down South.
