INOX, India’s leading multiplex chain resumed operations from October 15, 2020 in the state of West Bengal. Since then, an array of Bengali movies have released during the festive season and gave audiences and the film industry a reason to rejoice, as cinemas were thronged by movie lovers.
With a view to maintain the excitement and to encourage more and more audiences to come back to a safe and secure environment, superstars, heartthrobs and renowned directors of Bengali Cinema – Abir Chatterjee, Subhashree Ganguly, Raj Chakraborty, Srijit Mukherji, Dev, Rukmini Maitra and Parambrata Chatterjee – came together for a video message by INOX, inviting movie lovers for a Safe Cinema experience.

The video starts with Abir Chatterjee asking guests about their good health and whether they have their masks and sanitizers ready, as he will meet them after a long time once again at INOX! Subhashree Ganguly follows, where she speaks on what we have gone through, and now after a brief interval, it’s time to go and watch movies as movies give happiness.
Renowned Director Raj Chakraborty emphasises on how cinemas are a story of various emotions, which makes us happy, sad, angry, excited and emotional. Srijit Mukherjee adds that movies are life stories, which get achieve a different magnitude on the big screen. Actress Rukmini Maitra pitches in, saying INOX has opened its doors and speaks on the sanitization protocols being maintained at INOX keeping in mind the safety of the guests.

Parambrata Chatterjee encourages people to come and watch their favourite stars on the big screen. He says, ‘Let the magic of cinemas in the big screen start again; let the stories of everyone begin again.’ Finally, the video concludes with Dev asking guests to be safe and happy, and enjoy their cinema watching experience only with INOX.
Keeping in sync with the cinema operating procedures as prescribed by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, INOX has been following the strict safety measures under its #SafetyFirst initiative. The cinema chain is ensuring frequent deep cleaning and disinfection of all customer touch points including box office, entry gate, lobby, auditorium, F&B counters, restrooms and exit gates. As a part of new safety standards, the protocols like mandatory mask, temperature check, e-tickets, contactless payment & entry, enhanced air-filtration etc have been implemented as well.
