After decent day 1 and day 2, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga continued its upward trend on day 3. And with that, it ended the first weekend on a good note. Collecting Rs 5.58 crore on day 3 meant that the Sonam K Ahuja and Rajkummar Rao-starrer had Rs 13.53 crore in its kitty after the opening weekend. Though this is not a huge number and is much lesser than we had anticipated, it is still decent. Considering the fact that the movie had 1500 screens and the topic is still considered a taboo in our country, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has done well.

For the uninitiated, the movie deals with the subject of same sex relationships and marriages. We’ve heard and seen several people dodging to talk about the subject. So going to see such a movie, that to with their family, is something we cannot expect, right? Surely, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is doing well in that scenario. In fact, everyone who has watched the film has liked it. It has been getting rave reviews, from critics as well as moviegoers. Hopefully, this word of mouth publicity will help it through the week. The weekdays are really crucial for the film to sustain and earn a considerable profit.

Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Fox Star Studios, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 30 – 40 crore. Recovering the cost will be pretty difficult, but we are sure it will in some way. In the meantime, share with us your thoughts about the movie in the comments section below!
