Kalank box office collection: Varun, Alia, Sonakshi, Aditya’s film earns a massive amount on day 1

Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt’s Kalank released yesterday (April 17). And as we told you, it took a massive opening! Yes, Kalank had recorded an occupancy of 40 per cent in the morning shows across, which grew to nearly 70 per cent in the evening shows. And with that, the movie earned a massive amount at the box office. How much? Well, it is Rs 21.60 crore!

Yes, Kalank earned Rs 21.60 crore on day 1 at the box office! Huge, isn’t it? Earning such a massive amount on a working Wednesday is incredible. Obviously, the 4000-strong screen space and the semi-holiday of Mahavir Jayanti did work in its favour. The good reviews and positive word of mouth publicity also helped. And as we predicted, the movie has earned more than Rs 20 crore plus on the first day. With that, it is now also the highest opener of 2019!
