What really prompted you to start Metastar Media?

Having been part of the music industry since 2006, I have seen the change in formats & market dynamics. Almost all new technologies and platforms introduced in the last decade or more have been commercially skewed towards the platforms and their user base, and not the artist. Metastar was started with the core philosophy of helping artistes engage with new technologies better and to tilt the balance back in favour of the artiste / creator, as it should be. We aim to build an ecosystem that amalgamates all possible revenue opportunities for an artiste – paid streaming, merchandising, ticketing, NFTs, music licensing & more – on a single platform that is governed by the artiste themselves.

And also help them to better engage with their core fanbase by providing an interactive & immersive experience for users unlike anything before. While social media & streaming platforms should be used to build the brand, complete dependency on these 3rd party platforms for any and all business can be risky. Being a musician is incredibly hard work and for artists committed to making a career out of their craft, having your own platform for fan engagement & monetization, in my opinion, is a critical element towards achieving that goal.

When can we see Manasi’s concert on the platform?

We have built a metaverse venue for live music. It is called Aurionsphere and is available on a platform called Spatial. We have been doing metaverse DJ shows there for the past 6 months, building an ecosystem for virtual concerts and interactions. Our aim is to start live performances by singers very soon, and Manasi will be one the first artists to perform there. So keep an eye out for announcements!
