Since a few weeks TV actor Karan Oberoi is in the news after he was accused of raping and duping a female astrologer with the pretext of marrying her. While the matter is in court and the actor is in police custody, reportedly his bail plea also has been rejected twice. Latest reports suggested that there was a hearing to be held today (June 6) and his friends still continue to support the actor. Recently, one of Karan’s bandmate spoke about the issue and his revelations were shocking.
Talking to an online portal, Oberoi’s bandmate, Sherrin Varghese asserted that Karan has been wrongly accused and went on to say that the complainant has been tampering with evidence and understands that she had timed her FIR in a clever manner. According to him, Karan and the complainant had been on talking terms since 2016. And Karan had filed an NC against the woman in October last year, which was resolved by the police. “It’s a case of someone being jaded about unrequited love. At least with the help of some messages, Karan had saved from her, we are learning how she’s smartly put him in a spot,” said Sherrin.
On Sunday, it was also found that the alleged attack on the victim was staged by her lawyer. He has been arrested by the Oshiwara police for the same. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more updates on this issue.
