Sanya Malhotra is at the peak of her career, and the young actor adds another feather to her cap today (January 31). The 26-year-old actor has backed a position in the list of top five Berlinale Breakouts of the year.

Film festival visits and being highly appreciated is a regular routine for Nawazuddin Siddiqui. This year it is his film Photograph that has made it to festivals across. But this year it is his co-star who is grabbing the eyeballs. Sanya is listed in the ‘Berlinale Breakouts: 5 talents to watch’. The list has Sanya at the second place with a snippet about her. The snippet reads, “The Indian actress, 26, has made a name for herself at home with starring roles in 2018’s Bollywood hits Badhaai Ho and Pataakha. But her turn as a shy stranger called on to pose as the fake fiancée of a struggling street photographer inPhotograph, from The Lunchbox director Ritesh Batra, could be her chance to cross over internationally.”  The list includes four more actors from around the globe. Currently Sanya is with director Ritesh to attend the film festival in USA and latter will be leaving for Germany for the next festival. The film had its premiere in the Sundance Film Festival recently.

In India, the film will be releasing on March 8 this year. It has already started garnering appreciation from different parts of the world. Ritesh is known for his art of making films where two strangers meet and this is yet another experiment. His last release The Lunchbox is still a favourite among many of its viewers and was also a winner at the Cannes film Festival. Let’s see what impact does this one create. With Indian Cinema getting deserved applause, we are excited to watch Photograph.
