The trailer of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Gully Boy was released on Wednesday and has since gone viral. While the meme world has lapped up the Alia dialogue from the film: ‘Mar jaega tu’ and the social media has been going in an overdrive with it, now even the Mumbai Police have joined the bandwagon. In a rather smart move, the Mumbai police have incorporated the dialogue to emphasise safe riding with helmet on for bikers. Punning on Gully Boy, the Mumbai police tweeted a pic of Alia and Ranveer that reads: “When he argues to ride a motorcycle without wearing helmet. #SillyBoy.” To this Alia’s dialogue has been used as a response. “Mar Jayega Tu”. The tweet has become an instant hit on the web.  Check it out…

Meanwhile, Gully Boy trailer continues to draw praise from the industry and movie-lovers alike who, can’t seem to get enough of Ranveer and Alia’s chemistry as well as their intense raw performances. If there was buzz about this Zoya Akhtar film earlier, post the trailer launch, this film seems to be on everyone’s must-watch list and we aren’t surprised to see it gain on as the most-awaited film.

Fresh from the success of Simmba, the film is also important for Ranveer at the box office and by the looks of it, the star has nothing to worry about. His rap skills have gotten a thumbs up already. As for Alia, she too has proven her mettle time and again especially with Raazi last year and so there’s much interest in what she has to offer this time around. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and Zoya Akhtar’s Tiger Baby Productions, Gully Boy is all set to hit the screens on February 14 (Valentine’s Day).
