PM Narendra Modi movie first look: Vivek Oberoi’s uncanny resemblance makes us wonder if it is really him?

Into the league of political biopics enters one more player. The film poster of PM Narendra Modi was revealed today, and the new Vivekanand Oberoi plays our 14th (current) Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The tagline of the film says ‘Desh Bhakti hi meri shakti hai’ The first poster of the film was unveiled by the Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and was put up on twitter by Vivek. The poster is released in 23 different Indian languages. Actually, you can’t recognise who the man behind the prosthetics is, you’d do better to confirm it in the credits. Vivek can be seen wearing a khadi kurta, his hair and beard made to look just like that of PM Modi. Even his posture has been worked on as look by the poster.

Directed by Omung Kumar, the film is expected to go on floors in mid-January. According to reports, the team behind the film has been working on the project since the last two years.  The news of a biopic about PM Modi in the making filtered in after the trailer launch of The Accidental Prime Minister and the posters were released today. With the announcement of this one, the line-up of politics-based films is pretty interesting, with biopics of three big leaders including Thackeray (on Balasaheb Thackeray) and The Accidental Prime Minister (Manmohan Singh).
