Satya actor JD Chakravarthy praises Golden Jury Film Festival

Actors JD Chakravarthy, Piyush Mishra, Jameel Khan, Anshuman Jha, Barkha Bisht, Ashwin Kaushal, Milind Joshi, Mukesh Bhatt and others graced the 4th edition of Golden Jury Film Festival, founded by director Pragyesh Singh which happened on 14th and 15th of December in Mumbai.

Satya actor JD Chakravarthy on being a part of this festival says, “Festivals like this submit filmmakers the possibility and medium to showcase their mastery and skills in storytelling and moviemaking to the world. Very excited to learn or can even call it copying. (I am not ashamed to say that as a filmmaker I do try to copy). So, glimpsing forward. Well for sure one would get to see the great minds and hearts if you get to attend festivals. So, I do get richer with every festival I attend by my thoughts and acts.”

Veteran actor Shishir Sharma says, “It is one of the biggest festivals in Mumbai and I’m sure they will take it to another level every year. There are certain films being screened there which are of top quality.”

Actor Mukesh S Bhatt known for Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and others adds, “Small independent film makers need this kind of film festivals because they need appreciations from the fraternity, and this will boost their confidence for sure. I am very much excited to attend this festival again. I have attended already, and the atmosphere was very nice. We need more festivals like this.”

Mickey Virus director Saurabh Verma adds, “Festival like these are important as these are genuine efforts make by genuine industry veterans. The team does not want to score for their own selves but intend to build initiatives and efforts that benefit the entire industry as well as the new entrants who wish to enter one of world’s largest movie industry.Loved each and every moment of the Festival. Feeling sad that it ended too soon. The Festival is growing every year and has some real exciting moments and memories that will remain unforgettable in my mind.”

The jury consists of the eminent Odia filmmaker Mr. Gadadhar Putty, the celebrated lyricist Sandeep Nath who has written songs like Sun raha hai na tu (Ashique 2), and Kitne ajeeb rishte hain yahan pe (Page 3) and many more, along with Amrit Gangar, the film theorist, curator and historian, and Ashok Purang, the trusted acting coach.
