Piyush Mishra, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Atul Shrivastava, Shahid Maliya attend Golden Jury Film Festival

Actors Piyush Mishra, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Milind Joshi, Atul Shrivastava, Singer Shahid Maliya and others attended the award ceremony at the 4th edition of Golden Jury Film Festival, founded by director Pragyesh Singh and organized by Kirtika Chauhan which happened on 15th December. Renowned Actor Piyush Mishra says, “It feels pleasure to see the kind of films being screened here. I’m very proud of the quality of cinema being showcased in golden jury which will only get better and better with coming editions.”

Actress Barkha Bisht Sengupta who was last seen in Mukhbir won the best actress female for short film Zibah. She adds,”It’s an absolute honor and I’m very much grateful to the team for this. I feel festivals like these are celebration for the art of cinema and motivation for actors like us towards the craft. Looking forward to be here next year as well.”

Singer Shahid Maliya who started with a bang with tracks like Rabba Main Toh Mar Gaya Oye and recently gave voice in Qala, on attending the festival says,”I’m very grateful on attending this festival. It feels great to see such vivid talents and art from different parts of the country. Golden Jury is really doing a commendable job on creating a pathway for independent cinema.”

Kashmir files actor Atul Shrivastava added, “I would like to congratulate the festival director Subranshu and his team for this festival.I feel it’s a great platform for people from different parts of the country to understand the real meaning of cinema and art of film making.”

In feature film category, Best Actor (Male) was awarded to Mukesh Bhatt (Midnight Delhi) and Best Actor (Female): Shikha Chauhan (Nimmo Lucknow Wali); Best Feature Film: #VIRAL WORLD (Directed by: BRIJESH TANGI) and Best Director: Pawan Kumar Sharma (Vanrakshak). For short films Best Actor (Male): Karan Wahi (Sambhram – Never Odd or Even) Best Actor (Male): Vikram Kochhar (Dammy), Best Actor (Female): Barkha Bisht Sengupta (Zibah), Best Director: Ashwwin Kaushal (Meet Mr. Chang); Best Debut Director: Kriti Nagar (Behrupiya). Best Documentary Film: Neither a girl Nor a woman (Directed by: actress Anjali Patil).
