Varun Dhawan confirms his role in Coolie No.1’s remake, but when does it go on-floors? Read exclusive details

Varun Dhawan is in the news for all the right reasons. Not only is he grabbing attention for his just-released first look from Kalank, but the actor is also ruling social media platforms for his stories from the sets of Street Dancer 3D. He is currently shooting for this Remo D’Souza film in London and will fly back to the bay for a Kalank event on March 11. The Street Dancer actor sure has too much going on right now on the professional fron and looks like he is only going to get busier. Dhawan just confirmed that he will be a part of the official remake of Coolie No. 1. While the speculations about who the leading lady will be have already begun, let us tell you exclusively that the film will go on floors in June.

Talking to an online portal, Varun spilled the beans on his next project and confessed that he is admittedly starring in the remake of the film. Dhawan will start working on this blockbuster’s remake soon after he finishes working on his other projects. “It’s confirmed,” said Kalank’s Zafar. On being asked who will be cast against him in the film and whether it will be Sara Ali Khan or Alia Bhatt. Varun was quick to reply and inform that he has no more films with Alia after Kalank. The original 1995 film Coolie No. 1 starring the dynamic duo of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor was helmed by David Dhawan. Interestingly, this will be the second film that Varun will be doing after Judwaa 2, which will be a remake of his father’s film. it is expected that David Dhawan himself will direct this film.
