Confirmed! Katrina Kaif – Akshay Kumar reunite for Sooryavanshi and here’s their first pic

Rohit Shetty announced Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi during the climax scene of his 2018 mega blockbuster – Simmba. Since then, everyone was keen to know who would star opposite Akshay Kumar in the cop drama. The movie went on floors a month or so back, but there was still no announcement. However, we exclusively told you that Katrina Kaif would be a part of the film. And now we can confirm it! In fact, we even got our hands on their first pic, so check it out!

Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar are reuniting after nearly a decade. The duo was last seen together in Tees Maar Khan (2010). And now, they will be seen romancing each other in Rohit Shetty’s ultimate cop drama. In fact, Sooryavanshi will mark the culmination of the cop universe that the filmmaker is creating. Sooryavanashi (Akshay Kumar), Simmba (Ranveer Singham) and Singham (Ajay Devgn) will come together in the movie and we are damn excited. From what we hear, Jacqueline Fernandez was also in the running for the movie, but the makers went ahead with Katrina. For those of you who don’t know, Sooryavanshi will be Katrina’s first film with Rohit Shetty as well as Dharma Productions.

Sooryavanshi is produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films. It is presented by Reliance Entertainment and will release on Eid 2020. This means Katrina Kaif – Akshay Kumar will clash with Alia Bhatt – Salman Khan (Inshallah) next year, interesting isn’t it?
