Haryanvi dancer-singer Sapna Choudhary has been in the news for the last few days. Reportedly, the former Bigg Boss contestant had joined Congress Party on March 23 and was set to contest election from Mathura. Though yesterday she denied all the reports about her joining Congress, Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar had posted a welcome message for her on Twitter, confirming her association with the party. However, Sapna held a press conference yesterday and said, “I have not met Raj Babbar (Congress Uttar Pradesh unit chief). I have not joined the Congress party. I will not contest the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.”

This sudden U-turn obviously raised many eyebrows and left everyone shocked including the Congress party members. While Sapna conveniently backed off from the Congress party and denied joining it, soon her picture with Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari went viral on the web. It is being said that yesterday, before holding the press conference, Sapna met Tiwari and he apparently convinced her to join BJP. While talking to a news channel, Manoj Tiwari revealed that he and Sapna did have a meeting but the Bhojpuri actor didn’t divulge any other details about her joining BJP.

Well, if we closely observe the timeline of all the events, it’s pretty clear that Sapna Choudhary said goodbye to Congress right after her brief meeting with Manoj Tiwari. Now whether she joins BJP or not, only time will tell. But her shocking U-turn from Congress certainly has something to do with Delhi BJP chief Tiwari. Anyway, such twist and turns are expected to happen until the Lok Sabha elections finally begin on April 11. So till then, we will keep you updated about all the political developments involving B-town stars and other celebs right here! So keep reading CineBlitz!
