Vivek Anand Oberoi is coming out with one of the most-talked about biopics of recent times. PM Narendra Modi chronicles the life and struggle of the current Indian Prime Minister. While the trailer has come out and has got decent reviews, we hear that the movie has run into trouble. Earlier the Congress had written to the Election Commission (EC) to impose a ban on the movie. And now, the DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) has written to the EC for the same! While there has been no reply, we wonder what will happen next!

The DMK has requested the Election Commission to delay PM Narendra Modi‘s release till the Lok Sabha election is over! DMK member PS Arasu Bupathi has written the letter to the Chief Election Commissioner, the Chief Electoral Officer and the State Election Commissioner. She is seeking a ban on the PM Narendra Modi film and wrote on behalf of her party. The argument they have given is that the biopic is very political and shows Mr Modi’s political rise. They fear it will impact the outcome of the election and hence, they don’t want the movie to release. What do you have to say about this latest development? Directed by Omung Kumar B and produced by Sandip Ssingh and Suresh Oberoi, the movie is all set to release on April 5. That is just a week before the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 take place across India (April 11 – 19). This has made people believe that the release was preponed from April 12, to benefit the Bharatiya Janata Party. While the EC and parties mull over the PM Narendra Modi‘s release, stay tuned to CineBlitz for all the news and updates about Vivek Anand Oberoi’s movie.
