Zoya Akhtar’s latest film Gully Boy is running successfully in the theatres and has received immense love from both the fans and the critics. And now she is ready with her web series Made In Heaven. The show will air from March 8 onwards on Amazon Prime. Recently, the filmmaker even held a screening for her web show which is about two wedding planners and all the hidden secrets and stories about the big fat world of weddings. The star cast and the entire crew was present at the special screening where Zoya revealed that she was super happy to write for the online platform.
Since Zoya is someone who likes to write a lot, she said this habit of hers is good for the web space which is currently booming with great content. While the Gully Boy director seemed excited at the screening, she refused to comment on the India-Pakistan situation when she was asked about the ongoing combat between the two countries. Dodging the question, Zoya made it clear to the media that she would only answer questions pertaining to her show Made in Heaven. Apart from her, veteran actress Dipti Naval also refused to talk on the matter and simply said that she won’t make any comment.
Considering the two ladies were at the screening to promote their show, it’s possible that they may have thought it wasn’t the right occasion to speak on the sensitive matter and we do get that. Coming back to Made in Heaven, the show features Arjun Mathur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi in important roles. And it’s co-directed by Zoya, Nitya Mehra, Alankrita Shrivastava and Prashant Nair. For more such news and gossip from Bollywood, stay tuned to Cine Blitz.
